About This Site: An Independent Phoenix AC Guide

This site explains AC and heating costs, warning signs and hiring in the Phoenix area. It is run by a company in Germany, not by an HVAC contractor, and we want that to be clear from the start.

Quick answer

acphoenixpros.com is an independent homeowner information and referral-request service operated by SWKM GmbH, Munich, Germany, managing director Sebastian Kaiser. It is Not a Licensed Contractor, performs no HVAC work, has no technicians and sets no prices. Homeowners can email a request; we reply with next steps and, where a vetted licensed local contractor is available, an introduction.

Who runs this site?

This site is operated by SWKM GmbH, a company based in Munich, Germany. The managing director is Sebastian Kaiser. Full company details are in the legal notice. We do not list a team of technicians or staff photos because there are none: this is a publishing and referral-request service, not a contracting business.

Not a Licensed Contractor

We are Not a Licensed Contractor. The Arizona Registrar of Contractors says unlicensed entities must include that phrase in all advertisements and may not advertise or perform work that requires a licensed contractor. In Arizona, a license is generally required when a job costs more than $1,000 in total or needs a local permit. We do not hold an Arizona contractor license, and we do not offer, quote, schedule or perform HVAC work.

What do we do, and what do we not do?

We doWe do not
Publish guides on costs, warning signs, rebates, permits and hiringRepair, install or maintain equipment
Reply to email requests with next stepsSend technicians, run trucks or operate a phone line
Introduce a vetted licensed local contractor where one is availableSet prices, give quotes or guarantee any contractor's work
Explain how to check licenses and complaints yourselfPublish ratings or reviews we cannot verify

At the time of this review we have no signed partner contractors. Until that changes, our replies focus on next steps and the tools you can use yourself, such as the ROC contractor search, and we will say plainly when no vetted contractor is available.

Editorial policy: how do we source and check facts?

  • Primary sources first. Licensing facts come from the Arizona Registrar of Contractors, rebate rules from SRP and APS (with contractor guides cited where a utility has retired its own page), efficiency rules from the U.S. Department of Energy and EPA, climate data from the National Weather Service and health data from Maricopa County.
  • Cost guides are labeled. Prices come from published cost guides such as HomeGuide and HomeAdvisor, named with their year, because local quotes vary.
  • Every page lists its sources, and figures in the text link to the page we read.
  • If we cannot verify it, we leave it out. We do not estimate local prices we have not seen published.
  • Review date. The pages in this version were reviewed in October 2026. Utility rebates and rules change often, so check the linked source before you rely on a number.
  • Corrections. If you spot an error, email dispatch@acphoenixpros.com with the page and the source, and we will review it.

How does a referral request work?

  1. You email us your city or ZIP, system type and age, symptoms, photos and preferred times. The contact page lists what helps.
  2. We read the request and reply by email with next steps.
  3. Where a vetted licensed local contractor is available, we offer an introduction. You decide whether to contact them.
  4. Any visit, price, contract and payment is between you and the contractor you hire. We are not a party to it.

Whoever you hire, the ROC's hiring advice applies: verify the license, get three written estimates, never pay in cash and do not let payments run ahead of the work.

Can contractors apply to be listed?

Yes. Licensed Arizona HVAC contractors can email dispatch@acphoenixpros.com with the business name, ROC license number and classification, service area and proof of insurance. Before any introduction we check, at a minimum, that the license is active in the ROC contractor search and that its classification covers the work, and we review the contractor's complaint history with the ROC and the BBB. Listing is not for sale as a review or rating, and we do not publish testimonials; see how we handle reviews.

Which areas does this guide cover?

The guides focus on Phoenix and nearby Valley cities, including Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Mesa, Peoria, Scottsdale, Surprise and Tempe. Each city page in our service areas section covers local permit offices and utility programs, because those differ from city to city.

Frequently asked questions

Is this site an AC company?

No. It is an independent homeowner guide operated by SWKM GmbH in Munich, Germany. It is Not a Licensed Contractor and does not perform, schedule or price HVAC work. It publishes guides and replies to email requests, offering an introduction to a vetted licensed local contractor where one is available.

Do you guarantee the contractors you introduce?

No. We check basic facts such as an active Arizona ROC license and a classification that fits the job, but we do not supervise, warrant or guarantee any contractor's work. Your contract, warranty and any complaint are with the contractor you hire, and the ROC handles complaints against licensed contractors.

How current is the information on this site?

The pages in this version were reviewed in October 2026 against the sources listed on each page. Rebates, rules and cost guides change, so every figure links to its source. If a linked source shows something different, trust the source and email us so we can correct the page.
